Mum's Operation

My mum will be going through a second operation this Saturday, 4th February to put back her skull since her first operation to remove the tumor.

The thought of an operation and hospital always scares me and yet somehow this time I am not as scared as before. I do fear for myself more than for the operation. I trust God that he will take care of everything and He is in control all the time. The only thing that scares me is the fear that my brother and sister would not help, especially around the house.

I do not understand why is it that they can't help or think of hekping, It just isn't something that they are used to doing aorund the house. I really missed my mum before we discovered she had brain tumor. I wish she could speak fully again, yet at the same time I am grateful to God that it happens. It is because, I then realized how much we have been lazy and not helping our mum around the house.

Since the operation, it has thought me and force me to be independent and do a lot of things by myself. I just pray and believe that God has something better installed for me, especially in terms of finance and income.  Here are some of the pictures of my mum during Christmas 2011.

Siniawan

Siniawan is a very small town on the outskirts of Kuching. Many of you don't know where that is. It's in Malaysia in a state called Sarawak. If you have attended the Rainforest World Music Festival before, then you know where Kuching is.

I went there with a group of friends and the purpose of the trip was to take pictures with their DSLR cameras. I was merely one of their puppets in their photo shots. As you can see from below, the pictures are really classic with a sense of old tale never been told.

If you ever get the chance, try visiting Siniawan. It's a great place for practicing your photography skills, no? ;)

e-Community Service on Travel Blogs

I was searching the net and happen to come across this website that teaches travelers or those with the passion to travel how to monetize their travel blogs to pay off for your travel fares. According to the guy, he has a solution and is willing to teach for a small amount of fee. Take a look and tell me what you think! Click Here!

Plans to Bangkok!

There is a recent news that a cold war just broke off at the Cambodian-Thailand border involving murders of some Indonesians. This was rather disturbing as a few months ago, a few friends and I had this conversation of going away for a retreat or some sort just to get out of the usual hustle and bustle of the city. But with the news like this, I'm a little fidgety on whether we should still go or not. And then the verdict came... Just go! If we die then let's just make this trip a blast! (stupid... lol)

Anyways, here's the plan. On the first day, we're going on a full day trip to River Kwai, the Tiger Temple, and the Damnoen Floating Market.

River Kwai with it's famously known "Death Railway"

Tiger Temple sacredly taken care of by monks

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

The second day, we planned to visit one the famous night bar & restaurant where most expats love to go. We needed to make a booking in advance though. It's called the Bed Supper Club. This club is unique because the whole idea of the chef is for his customers to be dazzled and surprised with whatever he fancies serving us for dinner.

This is how the building looks like in the day time.

And here's the interior, the upper deck of the restaurant.

And here is the lower deck. Pretty cool right? ;)

One of the themed-night event "Alice in Wonderland".

And now you know why it's called "Bed Supper Club".

On the third day, well... we thought of shopping and exploring the city for the morning and afternoon. But at night, we're going to catch one the most entertaining Cabaret Show in the city. (Most of the dancers are she-males... tsk, tsk.)

The lady-boys of Thailand... yeah!

Then on the final day, we're doing our bargaining at Chatuchak Market also known as "The Thief Market". You know why it's called that? Well, it's basically daylight robbery from expats and tourist visiting Bangkok. Many people go there to get gifts, souvenirs, products that are cheaper than what they can get back in the hometown. So this is an opportunity for vendors to place the price so much higher. So for bargain lovers and shopaholics, be sure to bargain as low as you can go!

And that's all for today folks. Carpe diem!
