Siniawan

Siniawan is a very small town on the outskirts of Kuching. Many of you don't know where that is. It's in Malaysia in a state called Sarawak. If you have attended the Rainforest World Music Festival before, then you know where Kuching is.

I went there with a group of friends and the purpose of the trip was to take pictures with their DSLR cameras. I was merely one of their puppets in their photo shots. As you can see from below, the pictures are really classic with a sense of old tale never been told.

If you ever get the chance, try visiting Siniawan. It's a great place for practicing your photography skills, no? ;)

Plans to Bangkok!

There is a recent news that a cold war just broke off at the Cambodian-Thailand border involving murders of some Indonesians. This was rather disturbing as a few months ago, a few friends and I had this conversation of going away for a retreat or some sort just to get out of the usual hustle and bustle of the city. But with the news like this, I'm a little fidgety on whether we should still go or not. And then the verdict came... Just go! If we die then let's just make this trip a blast! (stupid... lol)

Anyways, here's the plan. On the first day, we're going on a full day trip to River Kwai, the Tiger Temple, and the Damnoen Floating Market.

The second day, we planned to visit one the famous night bar & restaurant where most expats love to go. We needed to make a booking in advance though. It's called the Bed Supper Club. This club is unique because the whole idea of the chef is for his customers to be dazzled and surprised with whatever he fancies serving us for dinner.

On the third day, well... we thought of shopping and exploring the city for the morning and afternoon. But at night, we're going to catch one the most entertaining Cabaret Show in the city. (Most of the dancers are she-males... tsk, tsk.)

Then on the final day, we're doing our bargaining at Chatuchak Market also known as "The Thief Market". You know why it's called that? Well, it's basically daylight robbery from expats and tourist visiting Bangkok. Many people go there to get gifts, souvenirs, products that are cheaper than what they can get back in the hometown. So this is an opportunity for vendors to place the price so much higher. So for bargain lovers and shopaholics, be sure to bargain as low as you can go!
